Paying the set up fee

There are a number of ways to pay the eccount money set up fee. We’ll simply deduct the eccount opening fee from your first deposit into your eccount.

  • Debit or Credit Card
  • Cash at a PayPoint outlet or Post Office branch
  • Bank Transfer, Wages, Salary and Benefits

Paying by Debit or Credit Card

Paying the set up fee using your debit or credit card is quick and easy. Simply Apply for an eccount and at the end of the application process you’ll have the option to pay your opening fee by credit or debit card online. If you select this method of payment your eccount will be activated immediately.

Paying by Cash at a PayPoint Outlet

You can pay your set up fee using cash at any PayPoint outlet nationwide.

  • Visit a PayPoint outlet
  • Ask for a Tuxedo E-Money voucher for the value of £9.95 and make payment with cash only
  • You will receive a PayPoint receipt which you will need to keep for your reference
  • Apply online for an eccount and on the payment screen select PayPoint voucher and enter your code from the receipt

Paying by SMS on your mobile phone bill

If you dont have a credit or debit card available and are unable to visit a PayPoint outlet, you can also pay your set up fee by sending an SMS from your mobile phone.

Send TUX to 80777 or scan the QR code with your smartphone.

You will receive 2 messages each costing £5 (£10 in total). One of these messages will contain your unique 10 digit payment code.

Enter this code in the payment section during your application to activate your eccount online.

You must have permission from the bill payer before using this service. SMS that you send to 80777 will be charged at your standard network rate.
